Other braces that are more rigid or custom-made will offer added support and a more tailored fit. What are the best shoes for plantar fasciitis?

There isn’t one single ‘best’ shoe for plantar fasciitis, because it really depends on your foot shape, activity level, and daily needs. What helps one person may not work for another. The best choice is the one that fits your foot properly and supports your orthotics or treatment plan.

If you have bunions, choosing the right footwear is essential to alleviate discomfort and prevent further aggravation. Choosing shoes with a wide toe box, low heel, and appropriate support can help reduce bunion discomfort and prevent further progression

Why do I have a callus on my foot?

You may have a callus on your foot because your body is creating a layer of thickened, hardened skin in response to repeated pressure or friction. Common causes include wearing ill-fitting shoes, prolonged standing or walking, or specific foot deformities like bunions. A chiropodist has more extensive training and can diagnose foot conditions, perform surgery, prescribe medications, write prescriptions, and fit orthotics, whereas a foot care nurse is a registered nurse with specialized training in foot care, focusing on tasks such as nail, callus, and corn care.
